Former Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on Wednesday led the opposition African Democratic Congress’ governorship campaign rally ahead of the 2023 elections.
Amosun, who is a Senator elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, also contested for the party’s presidential ticket.
While the ADC governorship candidate in Ogun, Biyi Otegbeye, inaugurated his campaign at the Ake Palace Square, Senator Amosun stormed the venue at about 1:49pm, drawing loud applause from many at the event.
Amosun had earlier said he would support the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, for the presidency but would support Otegbeye for governor.
Though the former governor was absent when Tinubu visited Abeokuta last week Wednesday, he was, however, the focus of everyone at the ADC rally on Wednesday.
