The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Adamu, on Saturday condemned the outburst by one of the party’s presidential hopefuls, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Abeokuta.
He said the APC is not happy with the action of the former Lagos State governor and national leader of the party.
This came as Adamu also said that all presidential aspirants of the party are scheduled to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari tonight.
He equally hinted that the has appealed the judgment in favour of statutory delegates, meaning they will not participate in the upcoming presidential primary.
Adamu spoke during an interaction with newsmen at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Saturday.
Tinubu during a meeting with Ogun State delegates on Thursday in Abeokuta said he deserves to lead the nation having helped President Buhari to win the 2015 election.
He has been criticized by many Nigerians who viewed the comment as disrespectful to Buhari.
Amid the criticism, Tinubu in a statement on Friday, said he holds President Buhari in high regard and did not disrespect him in his Abeokuta comment.
According to Tinubu, the comment was taken out of context.
