Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Col Milland Dixon Dikio (rtd) has hailed Ijaw leader, Pa Edwin K Clark, who just turned 94.
In a statement Dikio personally signed and made available to newsmen in Abuja, the Amnesty boss, described the elder statesman as one of the rare gifts to the people of the Niger Delta region and humanity in general.
The PAP boss said Clark’s passion for the development of the region is unparalleled, adding that his years of constructive agitation for a better deal for the people marked him out as a true and committed patriot.
According to Dikio, Pa Clark’s philanthropy and his love for education, which made him to set up a special foundation and establish the Edwin Clark University, Kiagbido, is a testament of his firm belief in using education and intellectualism as the new tool to push the cause of his people.
While wishing the elder statesman and nationalist a happy 94th birthday, Dikio prayed God to continue to keep him alive for him to continue to use his experience and wealth of sound knowledge to the benefit of the Niger Delta and the Nigerian state.
