Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate believes that despite the dire circumstances the nation is currently in, there is still hope for a better Nigeria.
During his presidential campaign, which took place at the IBB Square in Makurdi, Benue State, Obi said that “anational rebirth” is feasible in 2023.
The LP flagbearer praised the level of patriotism, commitment, and warm embrace of the party’s message and thanked the Benue “ObIdients” for a great outing and show of affection.
The former governor of Anambra State declared that his dedication to the care of People With Disabilities (PWDs) is still unwavering during the campaign, when PWDs were strongly represented.
Prior to his address, He-man Hembe, the Labour Party’s candidate for governor in the state, requested that Obi investigate into the attacks by suspected herdsmen that had caused over two million people to be displaced and numerous fatalities.
Mr. Obi reacted by bemoaning the Federal Government’s lip service to ending the killings in Benue.
However, he continued by assuring the people of Benue of public safety and security that will increase their capacity for productivity as well as a planned approach to increase food production.
