Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate says he will consult with Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State on long-term solutions to Nigeria’s problems.
This pledge was made by Obi on Monday in Lagos during a discussion with the Nigerian Guild of Editors.
He said, “He (Soludo) knows, and he has the solution. So I need to consult him to help me.”
The Labour Party candidate added that he would foster an environment where 50 percent of Nigerian women would be included in its National Productivity Programme and pledged to replicate the Bangladesh model of 35 per cent Affirmative Action.
Remember how Obi and Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, sparred in public over the status of the Anambra economy?
The investments Obi made in the government, according to Soludo, are practically worthless.
The governor of Anambra State said that Obi cannot prevail in the 2023 presidential election, adding that there are “two persons/parties seriously contesting for president.”
Obi countered, saying that in his capacity as Anambra’s governor, he had done his own bit, and he wished Soludo well in his work as the state’s economics professor.
