Erling Haaland of Norway and Phil Foden of England both scored hat tricks as they destroyed Erik Ten Hag’s Manchester United 6-3 in a thrilling Sunday derby.
Both teams had defeated their respective opponents before the game, and Ten Hag insisted that Haaland and his defender Lisario Martinez weren’t engaged in a fight.
Despite a late United comeback to cut the deficit, Foden’s goals in the eighth, forty-fourth, and seventy-second minutes, as well as Haaland’s goals in the 34th, 37th, and 64th, were sufficient to give City an easy victory.
