Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested the
Director, Finance and Account of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Mr. Eno Ubi Otu.
Otu is currently being grilled by the anti-graft agency’s operatives.
The NDDC finance and accounts director, it was learnt, was picked up by EFCC detectives at about 11:15am over a case of alleged diversion of over N25 billion tax remittances.
It was learnt that A source at the Otu was still being questioned by EFCC operatives as at 7:15pm on Wednesday.
First News gathered from inside sources at the anti-graft agency that Otu’s arrest formed part of a larger investigation of the forensic audit report of the NDDC.
EFCC spokesperson,
Wilson Uwujaren, could not be reached for confirmation of the NDDC director’s arrest.
Calls made to Uwujaren’s mobile phone were not answered as of the time of filing this report.
