In the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, bandits are said to have killed no less than 37 individuals during recent attacks.
Separate attacks occurred on Sunday night in the Kagoro Chiefdom towns of Malagum 1 and Sokwong in the state’s Kaura Local Government Area.
The Kauru Local Government Area Chairman, Hon. Atuk Stephen, told Channels Television that the bandits carried out the coordinated attacks at around 11 p.m. on Sunday, killing 37 people. However, the police authorities have not yet confirmed the incident.
Additionally, he claimed that during the raid, the bandits burned down more than 100 homes in addition to many cars and motorcycles.
He claims that the bandits completely destroyed every home in the Sokwong neighborhood and left the region in ruins.
