The Super Falcons of Nigeria on Thursday night, edged the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon 1-0 to qualify for the semifinal of the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Falcons also picked up the ticket to their 9th consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
A 56th-minute goal from Rasheedat Ajibade gave the Super Falcons a place in the last four of the tournament and a World Cup ticket.
Nigeria will now face the host Morocco in the Semifinals on July 18 in their quest to win their Tenth title of the continental Mondial.
South Africa will battle Tunisia for the final quarter-final match to pick the last guaranteed ticket to the World Cup as well as a spot in the last four.
