Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho back in Nigeria

… for late mother’s burial

Self-exiled Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho, has returned to Nigeria.

Igboho’s spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, in a statement on his X page on Thursday, confirmed that the Yoruba Nation agitator returned to the country for the burial of his late mother.

Koiki wrote, “I can confirm that Chief Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho is currently on his way to Igboho Town for the final burial of his mother MRS S.A.ADEYEMO.

“The body of MRS S.A ADEYEMO was picked up from the mortuary in SAKI TOWN some few hours ago.”

Koiki also posted a video where Igboho could be seen with some people believed to be at the mortuary.

The activist has been out of Nigeria since 2021 when he went on a self-exile to Benin Republic following a violent attack on his house in Ibadan by some operatives of the Department of State Services.

Igboho was later declared wanted by the DSS.
