Tinubu, Kwankwaso meet in France for peace talk

President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu recently engaged in a peace talk with Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP). The meeting took place in Paris, France, and lasted for several hours.

Senator Kwankwaso secured the fourth position in the 2023 presidential election, winning only in Kano State, a stronghold of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

During their meeting, it was reported that Tinubu urged Kwankwaso to reach out to his political associates and explore possibilities of collaboration. The President-elect and the NNPP candidate agreed to continue holding subsequent meetings.

The purpose of the peace talk was to foster unity and discuss potential areas of cooperation between the two politicians and their respective parties.
