Three suspects nabbed for murder of Senator Yayi’s aide

Police in Lagos have paraded three male suspects in connection with the robbery and murder of Adeniyi Sanni, an aide to Senator Solomon Adeola, also known as Yayi.

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, announced the suspects’ arrest during a press briefing at the command headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos.

Sanni was killed on August 5 after some persons stopped him at a checkpoint in Ojodu Berger while on his way to his home in Lagos.

The l arrested suspects are Fred Azeez Okuno, a 43-year-old resident of Lagos; Lucky Idudu Michael, a 33-year-old from Delta State; and Adedigba Segun, a 26-year-old from Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to the Lagos police commissioner, “Through painstaking intelligence and investigative activities which brought out the best in the capacity of Lagos Police Command, we have succeeded in arresting the syndicate of the robbery and murder. The three suspects directly involved in the robbery and murder were arrested with three firearms including the killer’s weapon were recovered.”
