SRG mocks Atiku on Chicago varsity subpoena

A socio-political organisation, Social Rehabilitation Group (SRG) has described ongoing attempts by opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), through its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, to find holes in the degree certificate of President Bola Amed Tinubu, as an exercise in futility.

The group ‘s Convener and National Coordinator, Dr. Marindoti Oludare, in a statement on Sunday, averred that Atiku, “the veteran presidential candidate who unfortunately will never be president, has begun another one of his many ill-fated sojourns into the abyss of absurdity that will only lead him to being served another breakfast.

Oludare, a Nigeria -born US-based medical doctor, sneered that “Atiku and his acolytes are trying to raise doubts about the certificate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a certificate that the issuing institution is in court defending. His questions bordered on the issue of 1) different logo, 2) different official signature 3) an error in date, 4) Sex and Date of Birth

He expatiated, stating, “I know you can’t teach an old dog a new trick, perhaps this cliche might explain why these simpletons find it hard to fathom basic facts about simple things. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu like many heroes of our democracy, lost a lot during the fight for democracy. One of the things he lost was his university certificate.

“When Universities print certificates; they don’t keep a duplicate copy for reissuance should the original get lost. It is common sense that if a certificate that was issued in 1979 get reissued in 1999, the issuing faculty might have turned round their staff during this period.

“This means that another staff of that same faculty occupying the same position as the departed official will have to endorse the reissued certificate”.

Oludare drew an analogy, noting that during the last years, he had had cause to look into a reissue of his Masters of Science certificate from Texas Tech University, his alma mata and a direct quote from the reissue instruction page on the schools website read, “Diplomas are reissued in the current format, will reflect the current awarding college for the degree, and bear the signatures of current Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University System officials, no exceptions.”

He stated that this meant if the faculty had redesigned/rebranded its logo since the certificate was issued(a common practice everywhere), they would not use the old logo for the reissued certificate.

“They’ll use the new logo, and if the staff that endorsed the previous one has retired or is deceased, they won’t bring him back from retirement nor resurrect him from the dead, to come sign the reissued certificate.”

As for the Sex and Date of Birth, while the notion that White people make mistakes might be jarring to Atiku and his cohorts, the sad truth is, they do. Just like everyone else. The reason is because they are not God.

He added, “Atiku needs to quit his futile effort, save his time and money on writing a book about “how to be a loser”. The February 2023 election was Atiku’s to lose and he lost it by being obsessed with his main opponent, while refusing to recognise his own underbelly. “Failure to organize his political party, his political voyeurism, his refusal to campaign against Peter Obi(his parasite), and his obstinate, egocentric inability to make peace with the G-5 governors; concocted with his trite, unimaginative, uninspiring campaign that was centered on hate and lies against PBAT were all potent ingredients in the Atiku election failure potion.”

However, I’m not one that will deprive lawyers from earning their daily bread; so I’ll encourage Atiku to keep up his fight. As for the electoral victory of PBAT, it is unassailable. ‘Ó ti lọ, he don go’!”
