Ramadan: Reps member Boya shares foodstuffs, gives 2000 students scholarship, 1200 farmers fertilizer

The House of Representatives (HoR) member representing Fofure/Song Federal constituency in the National Assembly, Hon Aliyu Wakili Boya, has distributed four thousand six hundred and thirty-one (4,631) bags of rice to his constituents.

The gesture is to cushion the effects of this year’s fasting period to the Muslim faithful as Ramadan is to commence Monday, 11th Match.

According to him, the country is facing serious economic downturns and virtually Nigeria is becoming a survival of the fitness.

He assured hundreds of people gathered at his Yola residence, that the Lawmaker reiterated his focus on bringing dividends of democracy by creating laws, and bills and bringing motions, and contributions that will not only benefit the people of his constituency, Adamawa but the entire nation.

“As long as I remain a Lawmaker, you will keep on seeing this gesture and I assure you more is coming soon.” He said

The food items distributed by the Lawmakers also include Sugar, noodles, and cooking oil.

All beneficiaries who attended the flag-off were also given cash donations to serve as their transport fares back to their respective destination.

Considering how the farming season is fast approaching Honorable Boya donated one thousand two hundred bags of fertilizer to farmers of Fofure/Song and many received water pump machines for irrigation farming.

In a bid to encourage education enrollment to higher institutions of learning, Wakili Boya has over two thousand students of the two local government areas scholarships to study various courses in different tertiary institutions.

He gave thirty thousand naira to degree students and Twenty thousand naira to NCE and Diploma students.

Commendations and praises were showered on Boya by beneficiaries for rescuing them to have a successful Ramadan spiritual exercise.

A beneficiary, Mallam Abubakar Adamu said Boya has proven his good leadership strides today in Yola.

He said his name is ringing the bell in Yola and beyond that everyone is saying good about his service to humanity Since he was a local government area Chairman of Fofure.

He prayed to God to give him more life, more wisdom, and knowledge to handle the affairs of the two local government areas in the national assembly.
