Prince Harry, Meghan continue Nigeria visit with Lagos engagement

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, have extended their three-day tour to Nigeria, including a stop in Lagos.

The Giant of Africa Foundation invited the royal couple to attend the Dream Big Basketball clinic at Ilupeju Grammar School in Lagos, where they met with young athletes and encouraged them to achieve their ambitions via sports.

Masai Ujiri, President of the Giant of Africa Foundation, praised Prince Harry and Meghan for their efforts to empower African youth via sports activities.

Prince Harry and Meghan expressed their appreciation for projects targeted at young empowerment in Africa, emphasizing the role of sports in encouraging positive change and growth.

After their engagement at the Dream Big Basketball Clinic, the royal couple met with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House in Marina.

Prince Harry and Meghan are visiting Nigeria to promote the Invictus Games, a sporting event organized by Prince Harry for wounded military veterans.

Earlier in their visit to Nigeria, the royal couple visited an Abuja school to engage in a mental health awareness program for pupils. They were greeted enthusiastically by students and participated in a variety of events, including witnessing a basketball game between Harry’s team and Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff’s squad.

During their trip to Nigeria, Prince Harry also visited a military hospital in Kaduna State, where he talked with injured soldiers and experienced their extraordinary strength and drive.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s tour to Nigeria promotes cultural interaction and collaboration, emphasizing the value of international collaborations in advancing social concerns and strengthening communities.
