PDP chieftain, Odefa, vows to reclaim Ebonyi in 2023

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Ali Odefa, has vowed to do everything possible to reclaim Ebonyi State from the ruling All Progressive Congress in 2023.

He made the statement while addressing journalists in Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi State at the weekend.

He lamented that citizens of the state had been deprived of the dividends of democracy by the APC government ruling the state, adding that APC is destroying South-East states.

“We are going to activate agents of conflict resolution to bring together our members. Everybody will be carried along in PDP so that we can move the party forward.

“2023 is a walkover for PDP in Ebonyi State. We are very much optimistic that we will win the governorship position of Ebonyi State before 2:00 pm on election day.

“We are comfortable to take the state because the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, has destroyed everything in Ebonyi State.

“You can see for yourself that the crowd we have here is more than expected, showing that PDP has a very large base membership in Ebonyi State,” he said.

Also, the state chairman of the party, Chief Tochukwu Okorie, said the party had been positioned to win the coming governorship election in the state.

According to him, “The paramount mission of PDP is to win the governorship position of Ebonyi state in the forthcoming 2023 general election.

“We are going to initiate moves and bring everybody together to enable us to win the governorship position.”
