Ondo Guber: Aiyedatiwa Gets Massive Support in Ile-oluji

As campaigns heat up for the governorship ticket of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, a large number of party members in Ileoluji-Okeigbo Local Government area has openly identified with the aspiration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

At an enlightenment campaign led by the local government Director for Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers (LACO-FS), Hon.Akinrinsola Odunayo, also known as KABONTI in Ileoluji, the party loyalists who spoke in turn, called on other aspirants to stand down for Aiyedatiwa, considering the sterling performance of the governor, in less than three months of assuming office.

They insisted that the party needed a consensus candidate in Aiyedatiwa for stability and unity, which are the basic index needed to defeat opposition parties in the November governorship election.

“Here is a governor who upon assuming office following the passage of his boss, the late former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, offset all arrears of workers’ salary and has never owed workers’ salary.

” Besides, he has ensured that all contractors are mobilised and given deadline to deliver, apart from initiating fresh developmental projects,” one of the party loyalists, Rt. Hon. Bimbo Fajolu, a LACO-FS Director of Inter-party Affairs, applauded.

He was also complemented by Hon. Jerome Olorunyolemi and Hon. C.A Akinrelere, APC top-notchers, who were present on the occasion.

Enthused by the massive turn-out, KABONTI assured the party loyalists of Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to their welfare, not just during the election period, but also in the aftermath.

“Our governor, His Excellency, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is not the type of politician who uses people and dump them once his aim is achieved. He is homely with all party members and that is why I can assure you that supporting him to bear the flag of our great party will never result in regrets.

“Mr. Governor has reached out to the party leaders to hear from the people themselves what they actually need to uplift their standards of living in their respective localities, apart from the various infrastructure his administration is putting in place to develop the communities,”Kabonti assured.

KABONTI advised the members and several others who defected into the APC from opposition parties to eschew the cash-for-vote culture, as it always ends in sorrow.

“If I give you N10,000 to vote for me, you will spend it and return to square one, but if I take down your name or that of your child, sibling or other relations, and I ensure they are gainfully employed or empowered in their choice vocation, then I have done you a life-time favour.

“So you can count on Governor Aiyedatiwa to favour you in terms of job provision and empowerment,” KABONTI pledged.
