In a car accident that happened on Sunday at Soka Bridge in Ore, Odigbo council area of Ondo State, 11 people reportedly got burnt to death beyond recognition.
According to eyewitness testimonies, a trailer and a Marcopollo bus were both involved in the collision.
He claimed, “The trailer came through one way and crashed with the Marcopollo bus that was coming from the Benin highway in the process.”
The crash was confirmed by Mr. Sikiru Alonge, Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, in Ore.
According to Alonge, all eleven people were burnt beyond recognition and that the incident had caused bottlenecks along the highway.
He said, “The Fire has been extinguished, while the traffic is being controlled on the Benin/Lagos Lane.
“Efforts are in top gear with other security agencies to remove crashed vehicles from the road.”
