Ogun So-Safe arrests suspect for stealing windows

Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, So-Safe Corps, has arrested a robbery suspect, Kamoru Ashade, for allegedly stealing a sliding windows at Iyana Ifako, Alagbon.

The suspect, a resident of Wawe House, Elekure Street, Alagbon, Owode in Yewa South Local Government Area, was caught in the act while burgling a abandoned building on Ifako Road.

He was arrested on March 5, 2024, by an operational team from Owode-Yewa Command led by SC Fatimoh Idris when went to the scene of the robbery and apprehended him as he was removing the windows from the deserted building

The So-Safe Public Relations Officer, ACC Moruf Yusuf confirmed this to newsmen in a statement in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Yusuf said that the 37-year-old suspect had stolen six sliding aluminum windows, three of which were recovered on the spot.

He said that State Commander, Dr. Soji Ganzallo said the suspect in his confession committed the crime and led the Corps officers to a place where he had hidden the remaining three sliding windows, intending to remove more later.

The Corps’ PRO said that suspect and the recovered exhibits have been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Owode Egbado (Yewa) Police Headquarters for further investigation and potential prosecution
