Ogun CAN mourns founder of chapel of Reconciliation, Ademuyiwa

Christian Association of Nigeria, Ogun State Chapter, has expressed its condolence over the death of Apostle Abiodun Ademuyiwa, Founder and General Overseer of Chapel of Reconciliation.

He died at the age of 75 and was survived by a wife, children and grand children.

CAN, in a letter to the wife of the deceased, Rev. Rhoda Ademuyiwa, titled “Good Night To Apostle Abiodun Ademuyiwa” and signed by its Chairman, Bishop Tunde Akin-Akinsanya, said his death came to the body as ” a rude shock”.

Akin-Akinsanya, who quoted 2 Corinthians 5:1, praised his contribution to the religious body and Christian Mission in the state and the entire country, saying that his countless dynamic and inspirational spiritual land mark to the Gospel of Christ would not be forgotten.

He said Ademuyiwa’s servitude in evangelism and soul winning, and discipleship was a life well spent in the service to God as he consoled the family members of the church to accept his and CAN’s condolences on the deceased.

The Bishop, however, prayed that God comfort and grant the family and church members the fortitude to bear the loss

The letter reads ” The transition to eternal glory of Apostle Abiodun Ademuyiwa came to us like a ride shock even though we are deeply consoled that he did die in vain. He left countless dynamic, impactful, indelible and inspirational spiritual landmarks on the sands of time. To God be the glory”

“Without an iota of doubt, Apostle Ademuyiwa’ life was completely sold out to the gospel. He served the Almighty God with unfettered passion and zeal in the body of Christ particularly in evangelism, soul winning, counselling follow ups and discipleship. His, was a life well- spend in the service of his master.

“Kindle accept my heartfelt condolences on behalf of the entire leaders, officers and members of the Christan Association of Nigeria, Ogun State Chapter. It is our prayer that God Almighty Himself will comfort, console and strengthen the family and the entire members of the Chapel of Reconciliation at such a time.” It added.

At the church branch in Olorunsogo, Abeokuta, where the burial service was held Christian leaders in Ogun State were present to show their last respect for the deceased as Apostle John Ojelade delivered a sermon on ” Death and Judgment.”

Ojelade, who quoted Hebrew 9: 27, extolled the virtue of the deceased, saying that everyman will die once and not twice, while admonishing those present to live a God- fearing life because of the day of judgment.

He said that the late pastor was passionate about the works of God, narrating how he and him went about in their youthful age preaching the Gospel from one communities, towns and villages to win the soul of people and bring them to the kingdom of God

The man of God who described Ademuyiwa as a church leader and passionate father as well as a general in the body of Christ, said that the deceased live the exemplary Christ- like life and prayed to God to give the family and church members the strength to bear his loss

” He (Ademuyiwa) was a smart leader, a passionate father and a general in the body of Christ. He was a great sacrificial giver and a great friend to the body of Christ. He lived an exemplary Christain life and our purpose of coming here should be to praise God and to comfort and console everyone of us. His life time has been a missionary who received his call from God in Ekiti and left there to come to Abeokuta as a missionary” he noted
