… says ‘there’s enough fuel in the country’
Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd on Wednesday assured the public that there is no plan to increase the cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.
NNPCL gave this assurance in a terse statement by its
Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye.
The statement urged Nigerians to “disregard unfounded rumours and assures them that there are no plans for an upward review of the PMS price.”
It therefore advised motorists nationwide against engaging in panic buying, saying, “There is presently ample availability of PMS across the country.”
