Nigeria, South Africa play out 1:1 draw in World Cup Qualifier

In an electrifying World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria and South Africa battled to a 1:1 draw.

The match, marked by end-to-end action, saw both teams showcase their determination and skill.

South Africa struck first in the opening half with a spectacular solo effort from Swane T., giving the visitors a 1-0 lead at halftime.

The Nigerian Super Eagles, however, responded swiftly in the second half.

Just a minute after the restart, Dele Bashiru exhibited brilliant ball control to equalize in the 46th minute, leveling the score at 1:1.

Despite numerous attempts from both sides to secure a victory, the match ended in a stalemate.

The Bafana Bafana will take a valuable point home, while Nigeria remains in search of their first win in the qualifiers.

This draw marks the third consecutive tie for the Super Eagles, who will be aiming to break the streak and secure a win in their upcoming match against Benin Republic on June 10th.
