National Planning Committee Extends Nigeria Public Relations Week Early Bird Deadline To February 29

The National Planning Committee of the Nigeria Public Relations Week convened by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), has extended the deadline for early bird rates for registering delegates, to February 29, 2024

Mr. Akin Okudero, a Fellow of the Institute and Chairman, Public Relations & Stakeholders Sub-Committee of NPRW, conveyed the news of the extension rising from a meeting of the Planning Committee with all chapter Chairmen of the Institute at the weekend.

The meeting was chaired by the Acting President of the Institute, Prof. E.S. Dandaura and had some other members of the Governing Council present.

Mr Okudero in a release stated that the committee responded to the plethora of requests received from members across the country, eager to attend the Week, but needed an extension to take advantage of the discounted rate of N80,000.00 (Eighty thousand Naira only).

Consequently, the grace has also been extended to non-members, who will still enjoy the early bird rate of N120,000.00 (One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira Only)

The inaugural edition of the Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW) will hold between April 22nd & 26, 2024, at the June 12 Cultural Centre in the historic city of Abeokuta.

NPRW Abeokuta 2024 will feature a variety of activities including an annual conference, annual general meeting, plenary sessions, workshops, breakouts, networking, evening social events including a fashion show themed ‘Adire on the Runway’, a mini golf kitty and guided tours to notable spots in Abeokuta like the Olumo Rock, Adire Market, Raansome-Kuti Museum and the Ogun Agro-Cargo Airport under construction in Iperu.

Wth over 2,000 delegates expected from across the country and beyond, several leading hotels across the city have been endorsed by the committee working with the Ogun State Government, to comfortably accommodate visiting participants.

Invited keynote speakers are the Honourable Minister of Finance & Co-ordinating Minster of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Yemi Cardoso.

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON and the Honourable Minister of Information & Strategy, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Idris Mohamed Malagi, FNIPR will serve as Special and Chief Host Respectively.

The key objective of the Week is to strongly communicate the significant value public relations adds to the socio-economic development of a nation such as Nigeria, and how the management discipline can be better leveraged for competitive reputation advantage.

Mr. Okudero encouraged members and non-members alike to take full advantage of the window of opportunity as the regular rates of N100,00.00 and N150,000.00 will kick in unfailingly for members and non-members respectively, from March 1, 2024.
