Popular Nollywood actor, Mr Ladi Folarin, at the weekend applauded Pillarcom Homes, a real estate firm, describing them as being one of the best in Nigeria.
Speaking at the launching of the firm in Ikeja Lagos, the actor said Pillarcom Homes “is different from other real estate companies because they are genuine in everything they do and have their properties in strategic places that when one buys land from them, it appreciates quickly. That’s why I think they are one of the best real estate companies in the country.”
Folarin, who is the firm ambassador and who won himself a plot of land during the unveiling event said, “I’m glad I won a plot of land from them today. I must tell you it is a very fantastic Christmas and New Year bonus for me and I thank God for that.
“I’m their ambassador and everything I do, I do it rightly. Mine Identifying with Pillarcom Homes should convince people that the company is the right one to do business with. I will try to let people know who Pillarcom Homes are and how they are revolutionizing the real estate business by making it possible for anybody to be a land and homeowner.”
Speaking earlier, the firm’s Managing Director, Mr Tunde Taiwo, said Pillarcom Homes’ objective is to tackle the housing deficit in the country, adding that the firm was designed to empower people to own landed properties.
Noting that the government alone would not be able to provide housing for all the citizens, he said it was important that private individuals support the government in finding solutions to the housing challenges in Nigeria.
He said, “As human beings, we live for one another, and that is why we came into existence to provide shelter for the people.
“Today, Nigeria is in deficit when it comes to accommodation; if you want to know the reality, wake very early in the morning, walk around the streets of Lagos, you will see people sleeping under the bridge. For some of them, the accommodation is either too expensive for them, or they don’t have the means to get it.”

On how people can become landowners with just N10,500, he said, “We have two phases on how one can own a home with N10.500. For these people, we designed a programme where if one can save as low as N10,500 every month, in a couple of years the person can become a landowner and the company will go the extra mile to help the person to even secure funds that will help in developing the property. There are some of our properties that are just about N120,000, N200,000 and N500,000 per plot. This is a system we have designed to help people own lands.
“The second phase is for those that cannot even afford N10,500 every month; for them, we developed a community where they can register with N10,500 per year. What the person is expected to do when he or she signs under that community is to tell others about us. If they also register through the person, the system will begin to generate insurance point accumulation for the person. As people join through the person, in no time you’ll be qualified to own a plot of land of your own.”
The firm has lands in Lagos and different areas of Ogun State bordering and very close to Lagos State. Meanwhile, at the weekend event, many participants won free lands, lands with varying discounts, and other gifts.
