Miss India, Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned as Miss Universe 2021, on December 12, 2021.
The event took place at the resort city of Eilat, where the model beat 79 other contestants and was crowned Miss Universe in the Israeli.
The 21-year-old was presented the crown by her successor, Andrea Mez.
However, Nadia Ferreira emerged as the first runner-up, while Miss South Africa, Lalela Mswane was the second runner-up.
Also, Maristella Okpala, who represented Nigeria, was awarded the Best in National Costume.
This is great news for India as the crown is coming to them after 21-years.
