Actress Yvonne Nelson from Ghana has described how she discovered that her ex-boyfriend, Nigerian musician, Iyanya, was having an affair with actress Tonto Dikeh.
She disclosed this in her autobiography, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” which was published on , 18th June, 2023.
The actress discussed her adventures with Iyanya and how she eventually learned that he was cheating on her in a chapter titled “Iyanya and My Love Life”.
The filmmaker noted that she believed the musician’s act of tattooing her initials “YN” on his waist and including her in the chorus of his popular song “Ur Waist” was a promise that their relationship would last forever.
She however stated that when someone called her from Iyanya’s home after she had returned to Ghana to deliver the awful news, she was astounded.
“The caller said anytime I left Iyanya’s place, another actress comes over to him and sometimes slept over. The person felt strongly that there was something going on between them and thought I should know.
“That actress turned out to be Tonto Dikeh of Nigeria and one of the female celebrities Iyanya named in his “Ur Waist” song.
“When I was convinced about the authenticity of the information I received, I was heartbroken,” the book partly reads.
Also, she added that she didn’t see any use in continuing to struggle for a man she had already lost, but acknowledged that she would eventually have ended the relationship even if Tonto Dikeh hadn’t entered the picture.
