How Ibadan Poly female student was hacked to death, eyes gouged out

Students of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic in Eruwa have been thrown into mourning following the discovery of the lifeless body of one of them, identified simply as Dasola, a second-year Mass Communication student.

Dasola, it was learnt, was discovered in her room with machete cuts and her eyes gouged out.

She was supposed to be taking her first-semester examination at the time.

The circumstances surrounding her murder remain unknown at this time.

A friend and coursemate of Dasola noticed her absence during the examination and went to her house in the Ile Idibo area.

The friend discovered that the door was locked from the outside, indicating that no one was inside.

However, alarmed by a foul odor emanating from the room, some neighbors, who were also classmates of Dasola, peered through the window and tragically discovered her lifeless body.

The neighbors immediately raised an alarm, attracting the attention of those nearby. The school management was informed, and in a show of respect for the deceased, the ongoing examination was suspended for a day.

The Eruwa Police Division has been notified and has arranged for the removal of the body from the room to the General Hospital in Eruwa.

The police have initiated an investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators responsible for this heinous act.

This shocking incident has left the entire community in mourning and raises serious concerns about the safety and security of students.

It is imperative that the authorities conduct a thorough investigation to bring the culprits to justice and ensure the safety of students within the institution.

As the investigation unfolds, the hope is that justice will be served, providing solace to Dasola’s family and the entire student body.
