Unknown gunmen have killed the Plateau State Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Sylvanus Namang.
Namang, it was learnt, was killed on Saturday in Pankshin town in Pankshin Local Government Area of the state.
The Plateau APC spokesperson was said to have been gunned down by yet to be identified gunmen at a relaxation spot known as sunny Best joint in Pankshin town.
A source confirmed that Namang left Jos for Pankshin to attend a funeral programme and was relaxing with others persons when the gunmen struck and shot him and the owner of the joint, sunny Okonkwo, dead.
There has been no official statement yet from the party or family members as of the time of filling this report.
The state APC Chairman, Rufus Bature, confirmed the killing of Naman last night in Pankshin.
Namang was a former director of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, where he served as General Manager of Lafia FM Radio for four years before he became the spokesman of the APC in the state.
He also worked with the late Deputy Senate President, Senator Ibrahim Mantu as his Chief Press Secretary.
