Gov Yahaya hails Nigerian Army’s contribution to peace, security in Gombe


…as he receives new Commander 301 Field Artillery Regiment

Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya says the security of lives and property of the citizenry remains paramount in his administration, stressing that he will continue to work assiduously to guard it.

Governor Yahaya stated this Wednesday while receiving in audience, the newly posted Commander, 301 Field Artillery Regiment Gombe, Col. Musa S. Ahmed in company with the immediate past Commander, Col Abu O. Ndah.

Governor Yahaya, while formally welcoming the new Commander, assured him of the usual support of the State Government to the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in the task of combating security challenges and maintaining the prevailing peace and tranquility in Gombe State.

He used the occasion to commend the 301 Field Artillery Regiment Gombe for its role in strengthening the state’s security initiative, and ensuring peace and stability across the state.

The Governor also lauded the Nigerian Army in general for upholding professionalism on duty, pledging that his government will continue to sustain partnership and maintain cordial relationship with them in the task of combating crimes and criminalities.

The Governor thanked the immediate past Commander, Col Ndah for his services to Gombe State, and for contributing immensely to the maintainance of security during his period of service, and wished him success in his new assignment.

On his part, the new Commander, 301 Artillery Regiment, Col Ahmed urged for continued support and cooperation of the government and people of Gombe State to the Nigerian Army, being an integral part of the security architecture in the State to enable them achieve success in their national assignment. He assured to work in synergy with the state government and sister- agencies towards maintaining peace, law and order.

Also, the immediate past Commander, Col. Ndah thanked Governor Yahaya for his unwavering support to the 301 FAR and the Nigerian Army as well as other security agencies; and in particular, for his commitment to the protection of lives and property of the citizenry.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi was present at the meeting.
