Gov Ododo visits predecessor, Yahaya Bello amid EFCC siege

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, on Wednesday, visited his predecessor, Yahaya Bello.

This comes amidst a heavy security crackdown on Bello’s Abuja home.

Ododo arrived at the Abuja residence of Bello, located at Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4, at about 2:45 pm.

The Kogi Governor was escorted by several security operatives and youth supporters protesting against the siege to the former governor’s home.

EFCC operatives had cordoned off the street where the Abuja residence of the former governor of Kogi is located.

Stern-looking operatives of the anti-graft agency were said not to have allowed movement in and out of the street.

A highly-placed official of the EFCC hinted that the operation was being carried out with the purpose of arresting the former Kogi governor.

It was learnt that the operatives’ presence was not unconnected with the N84 billion fraud case against Yahaya which the anti-graft agency is currently prosecuting.
