Golden Eaglets beat Togo 3-0, set for semifinal clash with Cote d’Ivoire

Accra, Ghana witnessed a display of sheer dominance as Nigeria’s young football talents secured their spot in the semi-finals of the WAFU Zone B Under-17 Championship.

Despite initial setbacks with a postponed match due to adverse weather conditions, the Eaglets came out stronger than ever, showcasing their prowess on the field.

Abdulmuiz Adeleke ignited the Eaglets’ scoring spree, capitalizing on an impressive attack with an assist from Abdulmuiz Oladimeji.

The momentum continued as Rapha Adams netted a header off a precise cross from Simon Cletus in the 35th minute, extending Nigeria’s lead.

Adeleke, proving to be a force to be reckoned with, struck again in the 57th minute, securing his brace and sealing Nigeria’s dominance.

Despite a missed penalty opportunity in the 68th minute, the Eaglets maintained their stronghold on the game, leaving no doubt about their qualification for the semi-finals.

In the upcoming semi-final clash, Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will face off against Ivory Coast, who advanced following a goalless draw against Burkina Faso.
