Fubara declares end to political crisis in Rivers

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has announced the resolution of the recent political turmoil in the oil-rich state, affirming a renewed focus on delivering quality services and key infrastructure projects in alignment with his administration’s ‘people first’ agenda.

Speaking at a thanksgiving reception hosted by the Amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom, King Ateke Tom, to commemorate his 60th birthday and the elevation of his traditional stool to first-class status, Governor Fubara expressed optimism about the state’s future trajectory.

“I identify with you, King Ateke Tom, and I want to appreciate you for standing with us. Like I had said, the worst is over concerning the political crisis. What we are doing today is moving forward and advancing our State. And I am happy that you are one of my allies,” Governor Fubara declared.

Assuring attendees of his administration’s commitment to success, Fubara emphasized the importance of recognizing milestones and extending gratitude to God for blessings, particularly in reaching the age of 60 amidst contemporary challenges.

Reflecting on King Ateke Tom’s journey, Governor Fubara highlighted the significance of celebrating life and acknowledged Amanyanabo’s contributions to peace and development in the state.

“We will continue to stand by you. Let me thank everyone who is here who has come to celebrate with our brother. Thank you for coming to support him. I know that as a man, nobody is perfect, but in his own little way, he tries as much as he can to make peace his major gift to the people of Okrika,” the governor affirmed.

Governor Fubara’s remarks underscored a spirit of unity and cooperation, signaling a hopeful chapter for Rivers State as it strives for progress and prosperity under his leadership.
