Fubara commissions Omoku-Egbema Road, boosts economic growth, security in Rivers

The administration of Governor Sim Fubara has marked another milestone with the commissioning of the 21.6km Omoku-Egbema road, an essential infrastructure project in the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA).

Governor Fubara expressed his satisfaction with the project’s completion despite earlier challenges. “It has been quite a fulfilling day as we delivered another all important road to our people of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni with the commissioning of the 21.6km Omoku-Egbema road,” he stated.

This new road is expected to significantly enhance business activities and promote social integration within ONELGA.

“In spite of the hitches earlier encountered, we are grateful to God that our administration has been able to deliver it to our people. It surely will enhance business activities and social integration of our people of ONELGA and also assist in improving the security network in that axis,” Governor Fubara added.

The commissioning ceremony was notably attended by Sir Dr. Peter Odili, the former governor of Rivers State, who served as the special guest of honour.

Governor Fubara acknowledged the foundational work of Dr. Odili, highlighting his role in establishing the modern democratic leadership of the state.

“The Commissioning is also significant as our father and leader, the former governor of the state, the foundation upon which the modern democratic leadership stands, Sir Dr. Peter Odili, graciously joined us as the special guest of honour to commission the road,” said Fubara.

The Omoku-Egbema road is expected to improve the region’s economic landscape, enhance connectivity, and bolster security, further solidifying Governor Fubara’s commitment to infrastructural development and community welfare in Rivers State.
