Fire guts NLC President Ajaero’s Lagos home

A devastating fire has engulfed the residence of Comrade Joe Ajaero, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), in Lagos. The entire building was reportedly destroyed, leaving nothing salvageable.

According to reports, the fire started from the roof and was preceded by strange noises, initially mistaken for sounds made by domestic animals. Within minutes, the building erupted into flames, forcing family members to evacuate with whatever belongings they could grab.

Despite the prompt response of the community members and the fire brigade, their efforts were unable to save the property from being consumed by the fire. The distressed family members have chosen not to speak to the press regarding the incident.

During the fire incident, Comrade Joe Ajaero was out of the country in Geneva. Since his return, he has maintained a reserved stance.

When asked for a comment, he expressed gratitude to God that no lives were lost.

In response to inquiries about a possible targeted attack, he acknowledged the risks associated with his position as the President of the Congress but refrained from speculating on who might be behind such an action.
