FG Assures Public: Tinubu’s absence not due to health concerns

The Federal Government has moved to allay concerns surrounding the absence of President Bola Tinubu from the country, affirming that it is not due to medical reasons.

Speaking on Tuesday’s edition of Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Tunji Alausa, emphasized that Tinubu’s absence is unrelated to health issues.

Alausa clarified, “Let me tell you, we are developing a healthcare system for Nigerians not for the President. We have 220 million Nigerians and that’s what Mr. President wants.”

He reiterated that the President is in good health and actively leading the nation.

“The president is well, healthy, and leading the country in the right direction,” Alausa affirmed.

Addressing concerns about the President’s medical care, the minister assured the public that President Tinubu is receiving some of his healthcare services within Nigeria.

Tinubu’s prolonged absence, following his participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Saudi Arabia, had sparked speculation about his health and whereabouts.

However, the government’s reassurance aims to dispel any misconceptions, emphasizing the President’s wellness and commitment to his duties.
