The family of late popular actor Babatunde Omidina, aka Baba Suwe, will be buried on Thursday, November 26, according to the family.
Ordinarily, as a Muslim, the actor who died on Monday, November 22, out to have been buried since according to Islamic rites.
However, the first son of the late actor, Adesola Omidina, in a chat with the Best Of Nollywood, insisted on being present for his father’s burial.
Firstnews gathered that Adesola resides in the United States and has instructed the remains of his late father to be embalmed ahead of interment.
He revealed to Best Of Nollywood in a chat on Tuesday, the burial arrangements of his late father.
He wrote, “Burial arrangements for late Alhaji Babatunde Nurudeen Omidina (a.k.a Baba Suwe).
“Interment will commence at his residence, 26, Oluwatimiro Street, Ewu Elepe Bustop, Ijede Road, Ikorodu, Lagos on Thursday November, 25, 2021 at 10 am prompt.
“The final funeral ceremony will be announced later. Baba Suwe is survived by children, grandchildren, aged mother and family.”
Meanwhile, Best Of Nollywood had on Monday night said Islamic clerics who have been contacted said that they would not be officiating at the burial and interment proceedings of an embalmed corpse.
