OUR REPORTER

About N40million cash has allegedly been carted away by unknown persons from the bedroom of the Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, at the Government House located along Shendam road, Lafia, the state capital.

This is coming a few months after some staff and security details attached to the state’s Deputy Governor, Dr Emmanuel Akabe, allegedly stole $20,000 cash left in his office.

First News gathered from reliable government sources that the money involved in the latest theft was stolen from the official residence of Governor Sule by yet-to-be identified persons.

It was, however, further learnt that the staff working in the inner chamber of the highly protected residence of the Nasarawa State Chief Security Officer, are being fingered as the prime suspects in the crime.

Governor Abdullahi Sule is on his second consecutive term as Governor of the state.

It was learned that the incident is still a high level secret amongst few staff in the Nasarawa Government House.

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said that the theft had not been reported officially to the police.
