A former Peoples Democratic Party aspirant for Ewekoro State Constituency in Ogun State House of Assembly in 2023 election, Hon Daniel Makanjuola a.ka Macdan, has congratulated Governor Dapo Abiodun on his victory at the Supreme Court for a second term in office.
A five-member panel of the court, in a unanimous judgment dismissed the appeal by Oladipupo Adebutu, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against Abiodun of APC in the last governorship election in Ogun State, affirming Abiodun’ victory at the poll.
But, Makanjuola while speaking in a congratulatory message on the outcome of the supreme court verdict which declare Abiodun as the winner of the March 18 Governorship election in the state, said that the court judgment indicated that Abiodun was a man of the people.
He said applauded the court verdict urging the governor to increase his tempo of people- oriented projects to transform the state for better noting that God had given Abiodun mandate to rule the state for the second term.
The former aspirant of PDP for Ewekoro State Constituency seat in the last election, said he and his loyalists in Ewokoro Local Government defected to APC having seen the governor’s landmark achievements in first term in office and decided to assist him in making his second term bid a reality.
He said “The Supreme Court Judgement reaffirming the legality of the electoral process that brought the people’s governor into office for the second term is a huge testimony that our Excellency his high flying Governor is a man of the people.”
