In a recent development, a Federal High Court in Abuja has directed the remand of Olu Agunloye, a former Minister of Power and Steel, in Kuje Correctional Service.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Agunloye on charges related to fraud in the Mambilla Power Project.

Appearing before the Federal High Court in Abuja, Agunloye pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him by the EFCC. The judge, however, decided to remand the former minister pending the consideration of bail.

The court proceedings signal another legal battle involving a high-profile figure accused of financial misconduct.

As the case unfolds, more details regarding the specific charges and evidence presented against Agunloye are expected to emerge.

The legal process will determine whether the former minister is granted bail and the subsequent course of action in addressing the alleged fraud in the Mambilla Power Project.
