Ewaede Foundation to honour Obasanjo, Gov Abiodun, Ooni, others

Gbagede Ewaede Foundation is set to honour the former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo; Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun; Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi and other dignitaries for their unrelenting efforts in the promotion of Adire fabrics.

The Foundation, according to a release signed by its Convener, Princess Adejoke Somoye, will bestow the award on the dignitaries as part of activities marking her 10th anniversary of promoting the aesthetics of Yoruba society – its culture, norms and tradition.

The statement added that the anniversary with the theme: “Celebrating our uniqueness as Africans,” would hold at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Monday, December 27, 2021 by 4:00pm prompt.

Other dignitaries to be conferred with awards include former Ogun State governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba; Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Olakunle Oluomo; Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo; Tunde Kilani, Chief Nike Okundaye, and Iyalode Alaba Lawson, among others.
