Eggs now luxury, I fear for Nigerian masses, says actress Uche Elendu

Nollywood actress Uche Elendu has lamented the rising cost of eggs in Nigeria.

In the past few months, the price of eggs and other foodstuffs have continued to increase in major cities across the country.

Just last month, an egg sold for N60 to N70. However, it now costs between N80 and N90.

The actress denouncing the cost of things in the market, marveled how the masses are surviving in such an economy.

On her Instagram story, she wrote: “Egg is now 90naira, Oh lord help your children do not let hunger and starvation ravage Nigerians. An egg is now luxury. How much then will the chicken that lays the egg cost? I fear for the masses.”
