Buhari mourns Senator Aluko

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday sent his condolence message to the National Assembly and the Ekiti State government over the death of Sen. Gbenga Aluko.

He urged the family of the deceased, friends and political associates to find solace in God.

The president spoke in a statement by Femi Adesina, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

He also commiserated with the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the people of Ekiti State on the loss of the political leader, who served his state and the nation.

According to him, Aluko’s death was a big loss to the nation, adding that he was committed to the nation and his community.

FirstNews had reported that Aluko died on Saturday.

The Ode-Ekiti-born politician and businessman died at 58 years.

He was elected into the Senate of the Federal Republic in 1999 at the age of 36 years.
