Brighton destroy Arsenal at home

Manchester City edge closer to Premier League triumph as Arsenal slump to a 3-0 defeat against Brighton at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal, who trail City by four points, have lost their chance at winning their first title since 2004 after their recent four-game winless run allowed their rivals to take top spot.

Brighton’s goals from Julio Enciso, Deniz Undav, and Pervis Estupinan in the second half secured their victory over the Gunners, who failed to make any headway against the well-drilled Brighton.

City’s win earlier in the day moved them closer to securing their fifth title in six years, and Arsenal’s defeat makes it almost certain that the silverware will remain in Manchester.

Even if Arsenal win against Nottingham Forest, City will be champions for a third successive season if they defeat Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium in their next game.

City have three games left to play, while Arsenal have only one home match against Wolves after their trip to Forest.
