AUPCTRE Vice Chairman, Maradun bags honorary doctoral degree from Sierra Leonian university

The Vice Chairman of Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUPCTRE) Federal Zone, Aliyu Muhammad Maradun, has bagged a doctorate degree in financial management and administration, PhD (Honoris Causa) from the prestigious University of Management and Technology, UNIMTECH, Sierra Leone.

Maradun, who is in Freetown, Sierra Leone, to receive the award tomorrow is being honoured for his services to humanity.

The letter conveying the award, which was signed by the university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof Roseline Emeh Uyanga, said Maradun has distinguished himself in his chosen walk of life.

“You have left an indelible mark and impact on the lives of people and on the larger society.”

Maradun who is also the Head of Commerce Department in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Water Board, was given the award for his “repertoire of academic and professional accomplishment, a large portfolio experience and globally competitive assignments which could be recorded in the annals of human endeavor and the academia.”

After this award presentation tomorrow, Maradun will join the league of the university recipients of Nigerians that have been honoured with similar awards like the former Permanent Secretary of the ministry of Defence,, Dr Ezekiel Oyebola Oyemomi and former Group Managing Director of NNPC, Andrew Yakubu among others.
