Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has mourned Nigerian comic actor, Babatunde Omidina, fondly called Baba Suwe, who died this Monday.
The veteran actor gave up the ghost on Monday after a long battle with an undisclosed illness.
The role interpreter was born on August 22, 1958 and was married to comedienne Omoladun Omidina, who died in September 2009.
Baba Suwe led the Yoruba movie industry for decades, starred in various movies and bagged lots of awards.
Atiku, while mourning the actor thanked him for bringing joy into most Nigerian homes.
His tweet read: “ Babatunde Omidina, aka Baba Suwe, thank you so very much for bringing so much happiness and joy into our homes. May your soul rest in peace.”
