AFCON Qualifiers: ANFASSC draws support for Super Eagles, throws weight behind Jose Peseiro, invited players

Ahead of the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and the Djurtus of Guinea Bissau, the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) has thrown its weight behind the three time African Champions and has called on Nigerians to be hopeful of a good outing.

Head coach of the team, Jose Peseiro on Thursday released the list of players that will prosecute the two legged encounter in Abuja and Bissau.

National President of ANFASSC, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi made it known that the Supporters Club will be with the Eagles all through the journey for the sole purpose of cheering them to victory.

He called on football loving Nigerians to continue supporting and singing the praises of the National team, he although acknowledged that constructive criticism has a place in football.

On the list released by coach Jose Peseiro, Prince Ogunjimi said “The technical department knows better, I don’t really dwell much on anything I do not have control over, it’s our own duty to support in all ramifications and we will be on duty in our usual Green and white attire, we will roll out the drums and our presence will be felt “

The Super Eagles will host the first leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Friday, 24th September, 2023, and will travel to Bissau for the second leg few days later.
