Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, better known as Adekunle Gold or AG baby, has admitted he regrets recording a song about an ex-girlfriend who broke his heart.
The track “Damn Delilah” from his debut album “About 30” details his experience with a manipulative ex.
In celebration of the album’s sixth anniversary, the father of one shared the cover art on his X account on the 26th of May, 2024, “Happy 6 year Anniversary to my beautiful piece of Art. #About30.”
However, a fan reposted it, adding, “Delilah will never forget this album.”
“She passed. Sometimes I feel bad for making that record,” the singer replied.
“Pls tell us the full story,” another fan beseech the singer.
“You people, I have told the story many times. Anyways, I was in a relationship with a girl that had a boyfriend (I didn’t know).
“Me I don fall, but the babe dey play me. Long story short, one Saturday morning, I got a threat call from a random guy saying I should back off, I should never speak to his woman again.
“I called the babe immediately, she don block me everywhere. Lol. I got so heartbroken and made Damn Delilah,” he wrote.
