Adamawa gets new Archbishop as Zion Int’l College of Bishops nominates Mike Moses


…prays for the nation over economic downturns affecting Nigerians
. Congratulates Gov Fintiri for winning Supreme Court case

Adamawa Bishop Mike Moses of the Overcomers Faith Cathedral has emerged the Archbishop-elect of the Zion International College of Bishops and Apostles, Yola.

The College of Bishops in their 2024 mid-term conference Thursday in Yola unanimously nominated Bishop Mike Moses as Archbishop elect to oversee the college’s day-to-day affairs.

A statement issued to this medium signed by the college Secretary General, Bishop Hebron Nzonzo revealed that two more Bishops elect were confirmed into the college folds of Bishop and their consecration will respectively hold April 20th and 27th.

The Statement which quoted the Archbishop elect in his welcome address charged the college to be the salt of the nation amidst economy turbulence,as a result hardship and high cost of living has been order of the day.

“As responsive citizens, we can’t live in denial of the current challenges that are bedeviling us.

“My speech is to affirm the fact that we remain the salt of the earth and the light of the world amidst challenging darkness of the moment.

“Our economy is noise diving in the international capital with the daily falling of the Naira.” The statement read

The Archbishop elect worried over the high level of insecurity experiencing in many towns and villages of the nation by constant kidnapping for ransom, killings, and destroying properties worth billions of naira including places of worship.

According to him the insecurity has plundered the country into confusion and threatened the farming activities with low Agricultural production subjecting farmers into fugitives not going to farms for the fear of being kidnapped or attacked. And industries are crashing down due to power failure and cost of production in many parts of the country skyrocketing.

Moses said no doubt Nigerians are going through tough time and there’s seems to be looming hunger the cost of living threatens everyone.

The Archbishop elect however God is faithful and cannot leave Himself without a witness. His promise to Nigerians and the country is a great hope and a future.

“As a church and bodies of clergy, we are never silent in such times, we pray and come out with constructive ideas and thoughts that will pull the nation through. We remain the light of the world and a ray of hope. Until Shiloh comes, the word of the Lord will not fail.” Moses said

The college congratulated the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the supreme court victory and praised the apex court for making Democracy a hope of Adamawa electorates.

Moses further said that:

“We still thank God for all God is doing and will continue to do in our dear state Adamawa. The Governor is indeed the people’s governor, that suggests why his bore abode with strength even when the archers shot at him.

“His strength around security, fighting of crimes, religious tolerance, workers welfare, pension scheme and good retirement benefits for the people of Adamawa State equals none anywhere.

“The Governor’s ability to unite the people amidst diverse ethnicity within one state talks much about his leadership stamina.

“We look forward to the light of truth shining politically and spiritually from Adamawa to other parts of the country.

“Our focus here is to strengthen you, encourage you and let us know that God is with us and through our prayers and the supply of the Wisdom of the Spirit, Nigeria will come out strong.”

The Bishops unanimously prayed God to guide leaders right as they continue instant in prayers for the progress of Adamawa State and Nigeria as a whole.
