The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, met with Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, ahead of the Supreme Court’s hearing on Wednesday in the case involving the Federal Government and three governors of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, regarding the Naira swap policy.
The plaintiffs, Governors Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, and Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State, were all present in the meeting, which lasted only a little over an hour and took place on Monday at the APC National Secretariat.
Many APC leaders have been opposing the Nigerian government’s naira swap policy, insisting that the government allow more time for the use of the old naira notes.
