The South African female team beat the host, 2-1, to lift the continental trophy for the first time.
The first half was goaless. The second half without any goal until Hildah Magaia broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute to give South Africa the lead.
Magaia netted another goal in the 71st minute for South Africa, stunning the hosts in the fully packed Prince Moulay Abdellah Hassan Stadium.
Down by two goals, Rosella Ayane’s 80th minute goal gave Morocco a glimmer of hope as the match enters it’s last minutes.

The match ended 2-1 in favour of South Africa who had an 100 percent win at the tournament as they lifted the trophy after five heartbreaking losses at the final.
Nigeria’s Rasheedat Ajibade, Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak and South Africa’s Hildah Magaia were the joint top scorers with three goals each.
